Special Visiting Opportunities

Note that we offer visiting opportunities for the benefit of prospective students and do not record the information for use in the admissions process.

Class Visits

Prospective students are invited to learn more about academic life at Penn by attending a class. Appointments are not required for class visits, simply plan on arriving to the classroom a few minutes early so that you have time to introduce yourself to the professor and find a seat. Each of the four Undergraduate Schools offers classes open to visitors:

Meet with Penn People

Visits with faculty, staff, coaches, and leaders of extracurricular organizations are especially useful for students who are particularly focused. Contact the Office of Admissions at least two weeks before visiting the campus at (215) 898-7507 and we will put you in touch with the department that is most knowledgeable about your specific interest.

Overnight Visits

Overnight visits are an excellent way to learn more about academic and social life at Penn. If you wish to stay overnight you must contact the Office of Admissions two weeks prior to your visit at (215) 898-7507. Overnight housing is available for a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday night stay for high school seniors during the months of October and November, and for juniors and seniors in February. Students are invited to stay for one evening and should bring a sleeping bag. Students will be housed with undergraduate volunteers, who will offer students an insider's view of Penn. You should plan to arrive at the Admissions Office no later than 4 p.m. to meet your host. We begin taking reservations in September for an October or November stay, and in January for a February stay.
